Dedicated to My Son Stephen,
A Leader of men, a server of tables, and full of the Holy Spirit. My charge to you is that you lead with wisdom, serve with kindness and walk in the fullness of the Holy Spirit.
Then you will complete your name, Stephenos, a crowning glory.

My son, hear the instruction of your father, and do not forsake the law of your mother -- for they will be an ornament of grace on your head, and chains about your neck.

Proverbs 1:8,9

Many of the Proverbs and Wisdom have been written in the female voice. This is wisdom that King Solomon acquired sitting at the feet of his mother. Her endearing name for him was King Lemuel, and the utterance which his mother taught him is found in the Proverbs thirty-one Woman.

Lemuel means devoted to God. So is this group of paintings with words from the King and defined in the heart of the artist, Betty Slade

He concludes his proverbs with the portrait of the Proverbs thirty-one Woman. He recognizes the attributes of a godly woman; her beauty can not be compared but excels beyond the many daughters who have done well, and her husband and her children will call her blessed.

I Wisdom, will guide you through the Proverbs thirty-one woman. As you have walked through the proverbs, you will notice that the thirty-one women, who we all admire and idolize, is the culmination of the proverbs through the first thirty chapters.

Taos Pueblo

Gallery Tour - I Wisdom will now take you through the adobes of New Mexico. The home reflects who is inside. The blue doors are prevalent to what the families believe in, their traditions and also superstitous ways.

Re-stringing Pearls The Proverbs thirty-one woman is a collective composition of all the proverbs that proceeded this last chapter. Solomon is reminded of his mother and the things she said to him and warned him about. Take heed to my words, she is saying, you are the son from my womb, the son of my vows. Do not give your strength to women nor your ways to that which destroys kings.

Keep chaste in your heart, so that your footing will be sure and your way will be safe.  Your lifestyle will either tear down who you are or build you up. Strong wine or intoxicating drink will cause you to forget the law and pervert justice.

Words Solomon learned from his mother's knee.

Proverbs 31:l-7 The words of King Lemuel, the utterance which his mother taught him: What, my son? And what, son of my womb? and what, son of my vows? Do not give your strength to women nor your ways to that which destroys kings. It is not for kings, O Lemuel, It is not for kings to drink wine, nor for princes intoxicating drink; lest they drink and forget the law and pervert the justice of all the afflicted. Give strong drink to him who is perishing, and wine to those who are bitter of heart. Let him drink and forget his poverty and remember his misery no more.
