They Call Her Blessed!

A Leader of men, a server of tables, and full of the Holy Spirit. My charge to you is that you lead with wisdom, serve with kindness and walk in the fullness of the Holy Spirit.

Proverbs 1:8,9

Many of the Proverbs and Wisdom have been written in the female voice. This is wisdom that King Solomon acquired sitting at the feet of his mother. Her endearing name for him was King Lemuel, and the utterance which his mother taught him is found in the Proverbs thirty-one Woman.

Lemuel means devoted to God. So is this group of paintings with words from the King and defined in the heart of the artist, Betty Slade

He concludes his proverbs with the portrait of the Proverbs thirty-one Woman. He recognizes the attributes of a godly woman; her beauty can not be compared but excels beyond the many daughters who have done well, and her husband and her children will call her blessed.

Joy

I Wisdom, will set up kings and by me rulers will decree justice. For those who follow me, I will give them joy. They will love their life, they will learn to love me as I love them. In the presence of the Lord there is great joy and in it you will find strength. Joy and strength go together.

Re-Stringing Pearls  My Son, Your strength is in your joy and your joy is in your strength with the Lord. It will wrap around you like a cloak. It will give you discretion and knowledge. Look to Wisdom, she will counsel you, she will cause you to walk in your call as a leader among men. She will teach you to hate evil, pride and arrogance and the evil way. A good leader will shun pride and arrogance, a good leader becomes a servant to men. To serve them in a way that you give them dignity. It will lift them up.

Proverbs 8:12-17 "I, wisdom, dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge and discretion. The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; pride and arrogance and the evil way and the perverse mouth I hate. Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom; I am understanding, I have strength. By me kings reign, and rulers decree justice. By me princes rule, and nobles, all the judges of the earth. I love those who love me and those who seek me diligently will find me.
